The 5th Annual Ben “Big Cat” Golf Scramble was an incredible success, raising over $80,000! We were joined by our Scientific Advisor, Dr. Andrei Shustov, and the two recent recipients of the Ben Cushing Cush it to the Limit grant at the Fred Hutch Cancer Center: Dr. Jay Sarthy, MD, PhD and Dr. Behnam Nabet, PhD. They spoke to our community about the importance of targeted, innovative research and of their gratitude towards our amazing donors who help make such research possible.

Personal Message from Alison and Scott Cushing:

Dear Big Cat Scramble friends, It's truly heartwarming to see how, even five years later, we're going strong in our mission to make Ben's legacy come true. The fact that we raised yesterday over $65,000 (which has since grown to $80,000!) for rare cancer research at the Fred Hutch Cancer Center is a powerful testament to the enduring impact of his vision and the unwavering support of our incredible community through rain or shine. And Ben was definitely shining bright on us yesterday!

Ben's dream of making a difference in the fight against rare cancers is alive and thriving through the CITTL Ben Cushing Grant program at the Hutch. Each year, we take another step closer to realizing his "what's next?" question.

This journey wouldn't be possible without the dedication and generosity of our Big Cat community, who have stood by us through thick and thin. Your friendship, love, and commitment continue to inspire us, and we're forever grateful for your role in making Ben's legacy a reality. Here's to many more years of making a meaningful impact in rare cancer research.

Thank you for being a part of this incredible journey. Till next year...

Best to you!
Alison, Scott, Emily, and our CITTL family
